System On Modules

With our new activity System-On-Modules (SOM) development, Sintecs enters a new area of developing high-performance single & multi-core processor modules. SOM’s are computer boards with a small form-factor that can be easily integrated into almost any application.

System on a module (SOM) is an ideal alternative to custom engineering. With a SOM approach you get the best aspects of both buying an off the shelf Single Board Computer (SBC) and of a Custom Engineered solution. With off the shelf standard components such as a generic carrier board and SOM module, it is possible to start development on your software applications before the custom carrier board is complete; thus offering a reduced time to market for your system. By using our off the shelf SOM including BSP, combined with our integration and design services, you can easily eliminate up to 6-12 months from your development timeline.

SES-MX536
This SOM is based on the Freescale i.MX53x processor with ARM® Cortex™-A8 architecture. It is optimized for both performance and power to meet the demands of high-end, advanced applications. Ideal for a broad range of applications in the consumer, automotive, medical and industrial markets, the i.MX53 includes an integrated display controller, full HD capability, enhanced graphics and connectivity features. This module has already an impressive list of features implemented on board. Features like: battery charger, SATA, USB, Display connector and Micro-SD, but it can also operate stand-alone without a carrier board.
SiMC-T10x
This SOM is based on the latest Freescale QorIQ T1 family of communication processors with up to four 64-bit cores, built on e5500 Power Architecture® technology.It also includes high-performance data path acceleration architecture (DPAA) and network peripheral bus interfaces. This SOM is ideally suited for use in low power, mixed control and data plane applications such as fixed routers, switches, Internet access devices, firewall and other packet filtering applications, as well as general purpose embedded computing. Its high level of integration offers significant performance benefits and greatly helps to simplify board design.
SES-MX6S/D/Q
This Ultra-Low power SOM is based on the Freescale i.MX6 application processor with single, dual or quad cores with ARM® Cortex™-A9 architecture. The module is built on the SMARC form-factor (Optimized pin-out definition for ARM technology). By combining the power-efficient processing capabilities of the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture with bleeding edge 3D and 2D graphics, as well as high-definition video, the i.MX6 series provides a new level of multimedia performance to enable an unbounded next-generation user experience. The module has an optional PCIe switch on-board when there is a need for more PCIe lanes on the carrier board.
SiMC-T2081
This SOM is based on the latest Freescale QorIQ T2 family of communication processors with up to 4 dual threaded 64-bit cores, built on e6500 Power Architecture® technology. SiMC-LS20xx
The SiMC-LS2088 is a 40GbE dual port PCI-e adapter that leverages NXP’s QorIQ™ LS2088 eight ARM® Cortex®-A72 core processor to address high speed networking applications. The PCI-e adapter is half length x8 PCIe form factor and optionally powered from an external power supply.

Scalys-LS1012
The Scalys-LS1012 is based on NXP’s QorIQ™ LS1012 one 64-bit ARM® Cortex®-A53 core processor optimized for battery-backed or USB-powered, space-constrained networking and IoT applications. The module contains a single ARM Cortex-A53 core running up to 800 MHz with a hardware packet forwarding engine and high-speed interfaces to deliver line-rate networking performance in an ultra-small size envelope at 1W typical power dissipation.
