DIGITAL ELECTRONICS | DESIGNING ON THE EDGE | HIGH-SPEED
Do you like challenging electronics projects for various clients? Don’t the terms SoC FPGA, DDR4, 100GbE Ethernet and strict EMC requirements (Automotive or Military) scare you? Do you want a position where you can develop and where you can grow? Then this position should appeal to you!
Who are we?
It is becoming increasingly difficult to design good working electronics. A first prototype often only works half, or at low speed. The 30 experts at Sintecs understand exactly what is going on deep inside the boards and design electronics that do work, at the limit of what is technically possible. We call this: ‘Designing on the edge’. Our areas of expertise are: Hardware Design, Embedded Software Development, PCB Layout Design, Signal / Power Integrity Analyzes and Library Development.
From our office in Hengelo we carry out work for clients from many different industries. Some are renowned companies, others are startups.
Your job as a Digital Hardware Engineer
Within our engineering team, consisting of hardware and software engineers, you are responsible for the digital (high-speed) electronics designs. This means that you take care of the technical content. You also coordinate other steps in the design process, such as PCB design and production. You are involved in varied projects for different clients.
As a Digital Hardware Engineer you maintain contact with the client and the electronics manufacturer about the design and delivery of the PCBA. After delivery of the PCBA, you test and validate the delivered hardware according to the hardware verification plan designed by you. This way you have an important role in product development and together with your colleagues you ensure that the electronics do what they have to do and that the client meets his deadline!
Supervising other (junior) engineers can also be part of your job.
What do we ask of you?
- A completed higher professional or university education, preferably in the direction of electrical engineering or electronics
- At least 3 years of experience with high-speed digital design in a similar role and environment
- Willingness to invest in acquiring knowledge to stay ahead in technology
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language
- Experience with Mentor Graphics and Altium design environment is an advantage
- Experience with EMC (in the design phase and the verification phase at a test house) is an advantage
- PCB Layout experience is an advantage
